Cruise Vacation

Krissi and I had an awesome 5 day cruise out of Mobile, Alabama! We were on a Carnival Cruise ship the MS Holiday. It was a small boat but we still had fun. We started with a day at sea, a day in Progresso, Mexico, and then onto Cozumel and another day back at sea. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed just sitting on the deck of the ship. I think any waking moment that the sun was out...we were there. I was surprised that I was not seasick...yahoo! We went on double decker bus tour in Progresso and clear kayaking with some snorkeling in Cozumel. Check out the pictures below to see more!

We went to the Fox Theater to see the musical Wicked. It was great!

Here today...gone by afternoon

Today was the day that Krissi and I decided to cut down the pear tree in the front yard. The tree is gone and the sod is laid. I am hoping that the root killer/decomposer actually works so I don't have to get someone out here to grind the stump. It was lots of work but it already looks good and hopefully we can get grass to grow.

Quilt

Mom worked hard on this quilt with a friend of hers who came to visit. It looks great!

Cabin Trip

I had a great weekend away from civilization. It made me realize that we live so close to the city but so close to the beautiful mountains. It was only an hour drive to this beautiful mountain side cabin. I got to spend time with some great friends!

I am amazed each day to see the new things in bloom in my yard! Thanks mom for the green thumb! I love ya!

Busy Weekend

This weekend I decided to take out a HUGE green bush that I hated in front of the house. I was always trimming it and it was getting out of control by growing into the gutters, grass, etc. So, the project was a big deal. Check out the new photos of the house. I have a few other plans for the backyard but next weekend is going to be a fun and relaxing weekend!

Hot Air Balloons

Mom has been bugging me to show off her hot air balloon photos. These photos are from the hot air balloon festival that is held in Auburn each year. I would love to go to see it one year but it is always the first weekend school starts!

Finally Pictures from Maine

Angela, Krissi and I took an extended vacation to Maine for Labor Day. It was a great break from the start of school and we had a great time touring Maine.

New Car

I have been talking about it for two months and I finally did it! I went to the dealership and got a new car in less than 3 hours. I was educated about what I wanted and got a deal I wanted. Check out the new car....it looks very similar to the old one!

Thanksgiving Cruise

Krissi and I planned at Thanksgiving Cruise this week. We are very excited to have plans for Thanksgiving. We have always wanted to go on a cruise and we have never gone with mom and dad. It will be the first vacation Krissi and I will take just the two of us sisters.

New Flowers

I made it through my first week with the kids at the new school. I have been relaxing all weekend but here are some photos from the yard. Mom wanted to see the calladiums. They are getting much bigger!

Finally Home

We are finally home and starting to get settled. Friday night we went to the Rascal Flatts concert with Taylor Swift at Lakewood. It was a great evening for a concert and Rascal Flatts were awesome!

New Porch

This week's project is the new porch/stairs on the front of the house. Lots of fun for the family! We still have another full day of work to get them finished.
