New Porch

This week's project is the new porch/stairs on the front of the house. Lots of fun for the family! We still have another full day of work to get them finished.

Berry Picking

We went berry picking the first day we were here. Krissi went again today. We have picked strawberries and raspberries.

Another Lobster Dinner

After working hard on the front steps, we were able to have another lobster dinner. This time Krissi came home with the biggest lobster I have ever had. I have been fighting off a bladder infection throughout this week and I had stayed home while they went shopping.

Hot Air Balloons

There are always some hot air balloons flying over mom and dad's house in the summer. This area is known for having lots of them. They even have some kind of festival in the fall.

75th Birthday Celebration

We spent July 5th at camp to celebrate Gigi's 75th birthday. It was great to see all the family that I haven't seen in years. The weather was perfect and the water was cold. I got to spot kids on the boat while they were on the tube or the kneeboard.

Cleaning Out

We cleaned out the attic at my grandmother's house. It was a task but it is done. We didn't find as many "treasures" as I had hoped but some of the stuff was cool and it was nice to have her there to explain where it came from and who is in the pictures.

Lobster Dinner

We were able to eat lobster and clams the first night we were here. I was thrilled to have fresh lobster and Krissi loved the clams. Mom and dad are enjoying company. Mom made her famous "grape-nut" ice cream. They even sell it in the stores here!

On Vacation

I made it to Mom and Dad's house safe and sound. We had lobster for dinner and are going to my grandmother's house to start on the attic tomorrow. I will post pictures as I take them. :-)
