Uncle Larry

Thank you again to everyone who sent Uncle Larry cards after the house fire. He has finally begun work on the new house and has been living on the property in a travel trailer. He has been astounded with the amount of cards he recieved and I do believe it has helped him to begin to get through the tough times. This is a recent picture of him at my great-aunt's birthday.

Idea

Thanks to Rebecca I think I found a new charity to help! I am very exicted about getting started. Krissi remembers seeing the pillowcases while tutoring a homebound/hospital bound student this year. I am going to start looking into it more. Check out the website. It is the ConKerr Cancer site.

I hope to have pictures of pillowcases soon. :-)

Diploma

I got a diploma frame for my Specalist Degree from West Georgia today. I decided to spend some of my summer school money on two diploma frames. I spent the money and time on getting the degrees, I should be proud of them.

More Flowers!

I guess I have turned into my mother for sure! I spend more time working on flowers in the yard than I do anything else. I am really enjoying the time outside and enjoy when the weather is a bit cooler. I am still teaching summer school and can't wait until July when I can have a vacation. :-) Some friends and I made "grapenut" ice cream this weekend and I even hit the movie theater to see Iron Man.

Hot!

It has been very hot here for the past week. My thermometer in the shade is reading 99.9F at 2:30pm! Even with the heat, I have been able to keep my flowers alive. I started teaching fifth grade summer school last week and it has been an eye opening experience. I forgot how much math fifth graders know. :-) I have been doing my best to keep cool and enjoy my afternoons off.
